Are You Sick of Highly Paid Teachers?
Teachers’ hefty salaries are driving up taxes, and they only work 9 or10 months a year! It’s time we put things in perspective and pay them for what they do - babysit! We can get that for less than minimum wage. That’s right. Let’s give them $3.00 an hour and only the hours they worked; not any of that silly planning time, or any time they spend before or after school....

(18) The “Incident”
Teaching can be tough. Especially when you have 50 children in 6 different classes every day. Not to mention, I was teaching 13 year-olds… Not the easiest age group. That morning, I had been watching a co-worker teach his 17-year-old students. A few kids in the back of the class had a video game and were huddled around it. Calmly, my co-worker kept teaching, slowly walked to the back of the...

Thailand is amazing - the people are friendly, everything is cheap, the beaches are so beautiful.  I’ve lived here for a year and everywhere else I go just doesn’t compare.  So… definitely come here!

Longest Kiss Record Broken in Thailand for...
The longest kiss record has been broken, marking Valentine’s Day in the Thailand resort area of Pattaya as determined couples attempted to break the world record. Fourteen couples began the contest. Seven couples still going for the title have surpassed the previous world record—32 hours, seven minutes and 14 seconds set in Germany two years ago 2009.  However, one couple surpassed the rest:...

My Response
Dear “Courtney who is a Mormon”- I apologize that this article offended you. While I did not write this article, I did read it, and I found it humorous- just as I might find a blonde joke humorous, or a joke about Americans or maybe even a joke about women - and I am all of the above. While your faith is incredibly important to you, not taking oneself so seriously is very important...

An Issue with my Post →
It’s come to my attention that someone has an issue with my last post.  Since she doesn’t allow submissions on her blog, I decided I would address it here. Her Issue: courtneylarkinsotherblog:  Okay…so usually I don’t get offended when I see people trolling mormon.org, or just generally offensive posts…. But today, you have caught me in a rage. FIRST. Latter-day Saints are NOT...

BANGKOK – The Health Ministry has issued its most serious health watch since the SARS outbreak of 2002, warning all Thais that the country is under threat of a major Mormon outbreak. The condition, originating in the central United States, is known to be highly contagious and in many cases terminal. (17) Monkey Island
I used to like monkeys. When I was young, I wanted a monkey for a pet instead of the typical puppy. I loved monkeys. Not anymore.   This is the story that explains why… In Thailand, there’s a beautiful island called Koh Phi Phi. It’s very remote and to get to it, you must take a ferry. The island itself is very small, and no motorized vehicles are allowed so you must...

Thailand and Cambodia's Battle for an Ancient... →
By the time the armies of Thailand and Cambodia end their battle for Preah Vihear, an 11th century temple on the border between the two countries, there may be nothing left to fight over. On Feb. 7, for the fourth day running, fighting broke out at the disputed site, causing extensive damage. At least five people, including two Thai soldiers, were killed. On the Thai side, 34 have been...
